The Maa Usha Charitable Trust (MUCT) is a distinguished non-profit organization steadfastly dedicated to the social welfare and holistic community development of the underprivileged. The trust was established with profound reverence in the loving memory of the late Smt. Usha Roy, who left for her heavenly abode on August 19, 2017. Her legacy of compassion and service continues to be the guiding light for the founding family of Dr. Susanta Roy.
While the family and core members had been deeply involved in philanthropic activities and extending support to the marginalized for a significant period, the trust was formally and officially registered on January 1, 2015. This vital step provided a robust, structured platform to streamline their widespread welfare activities, allowing the organization to exponentially expand its outreach, operational efficiency, and overall social impact.
Over the years, Maa Usha Charitable Trust has grown from a humble familial initiative into a beacon of hope for countless families. We firmly believe that every individual deserves the right to a dignified life, access to quality healthcare, and the opportunity to receive a proper education. Our dedicated team of volunteers, trustees, and partners work tirelessly on the ground to bridge the gap between resources and those who need them the most.
Today, our organization focuses its energies on empowering marginalized groups, particularly within the rural and tribal communities across Tripura and beyond. By addressing fundamental human needs—such as organizing free medical camps, planting trees for a sustainable environment, and providing free educational coaching to aspiring students—we strive to promote long-term, self-sustaining opportunities for progress and societal transformation.
